In September of 2008 Suvarnabhumi Airport opened for domestic and international flights. Suvarnabhumi Airport replaced Don Mueang Airport as the primary airport for Bangkok, Thailand. Suvarnabhumi Airport inherited the IATA airport code, BKK, from Don Mueang after the older airport ceased international flights.
The Airports of Thailand (AOT) and SITA engaged Inspired Networks for the planning, coordination, and migration of the airlines from Don Mueang to Suvarnabhumi. Inspired Networks, in coordination with the individual airlines identified, designed, and managed the delivery for the individual airline infrastructure requirements including: Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless LAN, Wide Area Network (WAN), and Telephony.
