This project consisted of design-build of the Heydar Aliyev International Airport (GYD) new Terminal 1 in Baku Azerbaijan. The new Passenger Terminal is 60,000m² in size, has 13 passenger boarding bridges, and is designed for an annual flow of six million passengers. SITA was engaged by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and Mapa Construction and Trade Company as the Master Systems Integrator (MSI). SITA was tasked with providing design and delivery services, as well as providing technology integration and consulting for the new passenger terminal.
Inspired Networks was contracted by SITA to manage the Design and Delivery of the Communication, Airport Operations, Passenger Processing, and Baggage Processing Systems for the New Terminal 1.
